The objective of the Kestrel Mine Community Development Fund is to assist local communities to meet the economic, educational and social challenges faced by the Emerald and Capella region.
This objective reflects those priority issues related to Rio Tinto Coal Australia's core business such as reducing unemployment, developing a skilled labour force, attracting new business and diversity of industry.
